Chef Kevin Brown grew up on a small family beef farm in Martock, Nova Scotia. He was an enthusiastic 4-H member, and from a young age formed a passion for locally produced goods. In 2013, Kevin graduated from the Culinary Institute of Canada, already with a clear focus on farm-to-table cooking. This knowledge was deepened working at the Blomidon Inn, where his duties were found in both the kitchens and gardens. In 2018, Kevin was hired as the Chef at Winegrunt, a wine bar in Windsor specializing in Nova Scotia wines and local food.
Farm to Truck Gourmet Takeout was launched in 2021, where Kevin was able to take his passion for the 100 mile diet on the road- in his very own food trailer! Look for us at events nearby, where you can see us in action serving delicious, handcrafted meals.

Book us as a food vendor. Our food trailer is totally self-contained. We bring our own water, signage, are powered by a quiet inverter type generator, and clean up after ourselves. We just need a flat place to park and set up. Menus are completely custom, and will be determined based on estimated pace of service. Our aim is always to serve what is freshest and best while keeping our wait times down.
We can also cater your special event. Our trailer has a fully functioning commercial kitchen inside, where we prepare homemade meals completely from scratch. We will offer you a custom menu to best fit your occasion and budget, showcasing the best ingredients we have to offer.
